Katia Winter (FOX’s Sleepy Hollow) and newcomer Ashley Jones will star in the horror-thriller Unwanted. Zach Avery (Fury) will co-star.

After the premature death of her estranged husband, Emma (Winter) regains custody of their young daughter Isla (Jones) and hopes to rebuild their relationship after many years apart. But when an evil entity begins to torment them, mother and daughter are forced to face the inexplicable presence that inhabits the walls of their new home.

Unwanted is directed by Eduardo Rodriguez (El Gringo, Fright Night 2) from a screenplay by Andrew Wong. Unwanted marks the first original horror film for Eduardo Rodriguez since Curandero, which was written and produced by Robert Rodriguez, and his short Daughter, that garnered him a three-picture deal with Bob Weinstein and Dimension Films straight out of college.

Katia Winter was a series regular on FOX’s cult favorite show Sleepy Hollow. Winter’s additional credits include Dexter, Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups, Arena, and Banshee Chapter from Zachary Quinto’s production company Before The Door Pictures. Winter is with Gersh, United Agents, and Authentic.

Zach Avery made his feature film debut in Curvature, directed by Diego Hallivis. He most recently starred in the Hallivis Brothers short, The Laughing Man, a Joker fan film, which has over 2 million hits on YouTube.

The film is produced by Luis Guerrero & Chris Lemos of Vital Pictures (Armored from Sony/Screen Gems, upcoming thriller Gringos), and Kacie Lehner. Co-producer is Ash Christian and Executive Producer is Jay Hernandez (primarily an actor known for last summer’s hits Suicide Squad and Bad Moms).

Unwanted will be shot on location in the village of Goshen, NY.
