Out of all the B-movie actresses out there, I think the one girl who has what it takes to be a major star is Misty Mundae. Some people might not think so, but with every film that I watch that includes her in the cast, I’ve noticed her acting getting better. In “The Seduction of Misty Mundae” Misty plays herself as a teenager finding her way in the world; experiencing relations with boys, sexual pleasures and so on. Yes! You guessed right, this is not a horror film at all, but is more along the lines of a 70’s exploitation film. It definably has the feel of a 70’s ex. flick, however in terms of video quality it’s a lot better.
The production values, although simple, is really good in this film. It mainly takes place on the streets of a small town and inside suburban homes, but the brilliant direction and photography, make this film a pleasure to watch. There are some really great shots in this film.
On acting, well it’s pretty basic, not great and not bad, but just ok. I’m talking all the actors, even Misty Mundae, although I said above that I believe she gets better with each film she makes, I felt this was more of a mediocre performance from her.
There are no special effects in this film at all so I can’t really go there. But if you really want to know where the film stand it is pretty much a softcore porn film, very softcore. But a good one nonetheless.
Overall, I think Misty Mundae is always a pleasure to watch on screen, that also can be said for Darian Caine as well as the rest of the beautiful cast this film provides. It’s one that all fans of Misty Mundae should add to their DVD collection.
