I will say one good positive thing about this film. It was marketed so well, that I thought I was in for a real independent treat. However when I popped this bad boy into my DVD player I found myself more interested in playing with my surround sound system thinking that there was something wrong with it. Then it dawned on me! This film was mixed really poorly, so poorly in fact that I was playing with the remote control most of the time. And to top off the icing on the cake I pulled out my whole entertainment center to see if my speakers were somehow unplugged from the surround sound system. That really pissed me off about this flick, I barely have enough time as it is to sit down and relax to watch a film and instead I’m thinking my brand new sound system is taking a shit on me, when it’s just a bad product. Now enough of my bitching.

The question is not weather or not “The Rockville Slayer” was a good film or not, because by far the first hour and fifteen minutes of the film was boring as hell, in fact between trying to fix the sound and skipping back to re-watch some of the scenes, I knew for a fact I was not going to like this film at all. However although the script was all over the place, and I myself was pretty much left in the dark about what was going on, I have to admit that the ending of the film was pretty cool. But in all seriousness folks, I had no fucking clue what was going on. I mean I re-watched a few scenes over and over to try to understand the concept, but my brain was so fucked up by this film I just shut the dam thing off and went to bed. All I can say is that I tried the next day to watch it again and just could not do it. All in all some of the acting was alright, while some of it was really bad. The Make-up effects were pretty good, and that probably makes up for most of that one star this film is getting out of me.

Overall I give the filmmakers credit for their great marketing of this flick, I even thought the film was shot very well, however I can’t recommend this flick, as the script was just to hard to comprehend. And the out of sync DVD’s didn’t help either. Yes I was sent five DVD’s of this film, I was going to run a contest for them on the site instead I gave them away to some local horror fans, that noticed my site advertised on the back of my car. Hope they don’t rob my car next time I cross there path for giving them a copy of this film. However I will stand by the fact that I did find the ending to be quite entertaining.
