“subHUMAN” is one of those films that everyone will just simply find it to be an alright film or will just plan dislike it. I for one thought it was alright, and I was able to get though it. The film is very similar to “Blade 2”, in the fact that it is about a type of vampire (Although it’s not really mentioned in the film.) that has a similar way of sucking blood from it’s human prey, like the vampires in “Blade 2”. Now don’t get me wrong, the film is not at all like Blade 2, just that the methods of the “Subhuman” in the film kill very similar.

The story is pretty cool, we find ourselves following a bounty hunter who kills these creatures and has been doing so for the past two years, he’s a bad ass drug addicted slayer, with no mercy for the ones he kills. What happens is that he gets hit by a car while hunting one of the creatures by a dorky guy and his girlfriend. hurt, the hunter begs them to take him to their apartment where he can rest and regain his strength. However they become caught up in the web of horrors and must team up with the hunter to help defeat the monsters that stalk them.

What can I can say I found this film to be just another normal direct to video horror film put out by MTI Video. It nothing great, but it was fun to watch and to me it was not bad. There are certain times where I though the film was slow, but in those moments the point of story was being explained. the whole history and back story of what the “subHUMANS” were up too.

As far as acting goes, it was not bad, but nothing great, some actors performances stood out among others. I though everyone involved in the bar scenes did great. As far as effects don’t expect anything great, I mean we have some CGI but it looks like a video game, however the blood shed and gore are pretty good, as well as the many decapitated heads.

Overall, “subHUMAN” is an alright film, it’s one of those films that you will either think is just alright or probably not like at all. To me it was just alright.
