Talk about a surprise film! When I first saw the cover I was like: Oh great another film with a great looking girl on the cover that’s most likely going to suck. I was wrong. “Simple Revenge” has one hell of a great story with more plot twists and straight up killing.
The film revolves around Alex, a newcomer in town who has the intention of becoming a big shot and getting the job she wants. when that falls though she goes crazy and takes revenge on her boss and anyone trying to stop her.
“Simple Revenge” is a fast paced intense film, it has a lot of plot twists, just when you think something good is going to happen, BAM! something totally bad and different does. The creativity behind the story make the script great. Although Alex is a killer that kills her victims very easy and simple, she has very creative ways of creating alibis and making up up false accusations to accuse other people of committing crimes. The story is a bit twisty though so take this as a warning, it a film your going to have to put you DVD player on pause if your going to go to the bathroom or you might miss something. The acting is decent, it hold up with the cast the film has and works out fine. We got some pretty intense sex scenes and some crazy killings. There is not much in the way of special effects or make-up effects. They are pretty basic. The film also has a great surprise ending as well.
Overall, “Simple Revenge” is a film to check out. It’s a different kind of thriller filled with many crazy twist and turns. It’s a basic format for a thriller, but it works and is well worth checking out.
