Brett Piper never really gets that much respect, mainly because he makes very bad and very cheesy b-movies. However despite many of his last efforts. Shock-O-Rama is actually one hell of a dam good b-movie. Sure it’s got bad acting. Sure it’s got bad effects. But boy does it have one hell of a crazy story and is non-stop action packed filled with hot girls, gore, and much more.

The plot is very fucked up and very complicated, however, it all comes together is a ala Creepshow, kind of way. However the film jumps between stories. The films is about a famous b-movie actress; Rebecca Raven (Misty Mundae) whom is fired from the company that made her famous with all it’s crazy B-movies. She decided to go off into the country to get some R & R and think about where which direction to take her career next. Meanwhile little does she know that there is a zombie on the loose, that wants to make her his next meal. Meanwhile the studio she used to work for is in kind of a rut. Their next b-movie star got arrested and thrown in jail, and they have a deadline to meet with a major distributor. They begin to look at films that they believe they can distribute one of which involves a junk yard worker, that’s in trouble with just about everyone, in dept up to his balls and well, aliens just landed their ship in his junk yard and are trying to kill him using the junk in the junk yard. The other story focuses on brain experiments on beautiful women for the purpose of experiencing sexual pleasures. In the end of the film, all these crazy stories kind of come together on the studio’s lap. In that b-movie kind of way.

Honestly as far as acting goes, I have to give credit to Misty Mundae, she really showed her acting ability is starting to get better and that she’s ready for bigger roles. Matter in fact all the scream queens in this film did a decent job acting. However this is a b-movie and the majority of the acting is bad. Except for the ones I mentioned above.

As far as effects go; well lets say in that b-movie kind of way they were as good as they can really get. Which in a nutshell says they were not that great, but in retrospect they fit this film. I really liked the stop motion animation that was added into the film. It kind of reminded me of some of the effect perfected by Ray Harryhausen.

Overall this is by far the best Brett Piper film to date. Sure it’s a cheesy b-movie, but it’s a good one. You just have to have an open mind for a film like this and just take it as it comes. In my opinion, this one is well worth checking out. And oh yes there is nudity in this one folks. So it’s not one you might want to put on for your kids.
