Shadow Falls is the first original program to be offered though The Horror Channel’s broadband services. The episodes are not your typical half hour to an hour worth of programming, instead each episode runs about ten to twenty minutes long, and each story is different except for one thing. They all seem to revolve around the mystery of a long lost town known as Shadow Falls.

The town of Shadows Fall is kind of a mystery and each episode seem to be either a story from within the town or about people who go looking for the town only to meet their doom after they discover one of it’s secrets. Each episode is unique in its own way, some are a lot better than others, but all the episodes seem to have the same thing in common, that being Shadow Falls.

I don’t want to get into a review of each episode, rather I’ll just that the majority of each of them is pretty good. Words really can’t describe how talented Kendal Sinn is. As you may or may not know Kendal shot most of these episodes without any funding from The Horror Channel whatsoever and some of them had no budget at all. Rather than rely on a large budget to make these films a reality Kendal made the right decision in using what he has, and relied more on his talent as a filmmaker, pulling off what most first time filmmakers can’t.

Now I’m not going to go too deep here on how the acting was and so on and so forth. For the most part each episode had good to mediocre acting. Some of the actors stood out more than others especially in the first three episodes. The special effects were low budget but good. Sinn relied more on the more is less effect in the majority of the films which in I actually think helps make the episodes that much more creepier.

Overall, I rarely review any kind of online series or television series for that matter unless it hits DVD. Kendal Sinn was kind enough to send me a screener copy with all of the episode from season 1 on the disc. being that I knew about the series I agreed to review them, and I’m glad I did. If you get a chance go over to the horror channel’s website and watch some of the episodes posted there. They are actually very well produced and well worth checking out.
