I have only one thing to say, thank god I watched this film after I got surgery on my back. Because I hate going to the doctor as it is, and this film is all about hospitals and evil doctors and nurses. Probably not the best film to watch if your going to be spending some time in a hospital. Anyway with that said, Room 6 is small budget film with some name actors, that’s not half bad.

The film is about a young women (Amy) who has horrible dreams of being in a hospital on the operating table unable to move and wide awake, while a bunch of crazy surgeons get ready to cut her open. She also has visions that people that she bumps into are in fact possessed by demons or monsters or sort. Even a little girl whom has some sort of psychic ability in her class whom also seems to be having odd dreams thinks her teacher is going crazy. However things start to get really crazy when her boyfriend picks her up from work and they suddenly get into a car accident. She is fine but her boyfriend is not, he has broken his leg and and is whisked away by some crazy ambience drivers, without giving her any information on where he’s going. The same for the other driver Lucus (played by Jerry O’Connell). His sister is hurt and is also taken away as well. Together they both try to find out where their loves ones. In the meantime Amy’s boyfriend is stuck in this hospital where a lot of weird things are happening. It’s not your typical hospital, and we soon find out that it’s run by the unholy kind.

I’m kind of surprised about this film, It’s nothing great, but it’s not half bad either. And I figured someone would of picked it up and gave it a theatrical run, rather than a direct to DVD release. I practically enjoyed the mystery behind the whole hospital. The story is not thrown into your face at once, rather it is given to you piece by piece, with enough information to keep you wrapped up in what’s going on. I also liked the fact that everyone thinks Amy is crazy in the film, except you as someone watching the film know that she’s not. There are also a lot of demons and monsters in this film, there is also an unknown back story that the film contains, as well as a surprising plot twist involving one of our lead characters.

There is pretty good acting going on in this film, I was very impressed by everyone’s over all performance of their characters. Jerry O’Connell was the one who really stole the show for me, This movie shows that’s he a better actor than just the fat kid from Stand By Me. Kristy Taylor who plays Amy also does a great job as well. We also have a cameo by genre vet Kane Hodder as a demon homeless man.

The overall special effects are really good, Make-up and CGI both are very, very impressive. There some great demon make-up going on in this flick. Everything looked very realistic, and got my full attention. We even get some zombies in the hospital scenes.

Overall, I enjoyed this flick, it’s nothing special but it kept me entertained. It had a real genuinely creepy atmosphere to the over all plot. and the film most of all kept me interested. Some great plot twists in this flick. Go buy or rent this one. Well worth checking out.
