Roger Corman is said never to have made a film that did not make money. He is considered by some to be the most successful filmmaker of all time. He is mainly known for directing and producing low-budget B-movies, horror and sci-fi.

The newest DVD from Shout Factory highlights four of Roger Corman’s films. The DVD is called Vampires, Mummies and Monsters, Two-Disc Special Edition. Three of the fours on the disc also come with a few special features.

The first film is The Velvet Vampire. It is about a couple that receives an invitation from a mysterious women who happens to be a century-old vampire.

The second film, Lady Frankenstein, is about the daughter of Baron Frankenstein as she creates her own monster from the body of one of her servants. She uses the monster to help find and get revenge on the people who are responsible for her father’s death.

Grotesques stars The Exorcist’s Linda Blair as Lisa, a women looking forward to a nice vacation at her family cabin, but who instead walks into a nightmare where a group of killers murders her friends and family.

The fourth and final film is Time Walker which is about Professor who ships a pharaoh’s coffin back to California where the mummy inside comes to life.

The special features on the discs include new Anamorphic widescreen transfers of the films. The Velvet Vampire contains audio commentary with actress Cemeste Yarnall and the film’s trailer. Lady Frankenstein includes two versions of the film: its theatrical and longer international cuts, as well as trailers and TV Spots. Time Walker has an interview with Kevin Brophy and producer Dimitri Villard as well as the film’s trailer.
