This film is a real genuine tribute to all zombie films, mainly Romero’s Trilogy, with the same kind of zombies. It’s a decent script with a great story that covers all the elements that every zombie movie should follow. We have our bad guys (A group of bank robbers) and our good guys (A Police officer) and the innocent people in-between, all stuck in an abandon gas station, with the living dead all around them trying to get in. What really did it for me was that the film actually covered some issues facing the world today, such as racism. It’s good to see we have a group of filmmakers who know that horror films don’t just consist of blood and guts and nude women and drugs, But can have a political message that can teach us as well as entertain us.

The acting in the film is a bit choppy, but works in a campy way to help the film. The script starts off a bit unorganized but all ties together in the end, and by being the way it is we get to know and feel for our characters more. A+ for character development. Production value was decent, the locations were simple and did not call for much art direction. the effects were great for a low film and worked in helping the film come to life.

Overall a great film, one which should be picked up for distribution, it’s no Romero film but it’s one that fans of all horror films will enjoy.
