Wow, what an excellent film. It’s kind of hard for me to pick on this one, I got a few minor things that bothered me but nothing big. So what did bother me, well it was shot on video, No just kidding actually for being shot on digital the quality looked great. I think the only thing that I had issues with were some of the minor actors in the film, I’m not going to say who, but it was none of the leads. I thought that some of the minor supporting actors did not put much into it as some of the leads. their acting seemed blah to me, and looked as if they were reading the script word for word. That’s my only complaint. Now onto what I liked….

If anyone has seen “I Spit On Your Grave”, this film has a very similar storyline without the brutal rape scene. However it’s about a lawyer and a his porn director friend who happens to be shooting more than just good wholesome porn. Who get mixed up in an odd case involving a serial killer who goes after well anyone and anything to do with rape, or convicted rapist and so on.

What I liked about this film was how professional and original the shots were that the Director of Photography used. Out of all the Indie films I’ve reviewed this has to be the best shot film so far. the acting was top notch (By the leads and top supporting cast.) Honestly seemed like a Hollywood movie with how good some of the acting was. the script was excellent and the pacing of the film was great, At no time did I even pause the DVD, to go take a piss or something, it kept my attention the whole time and the crazy ending was perfect. the films got a message in it, which I think makes a great film. The message deals with an issue that should be dealt with more, and in this film it’s gives the killer more of a reason to be the way she is. Overall a great film well worth watching, check out the website listed above.

“Hair of the Dog” is a top notch, well put together film, well worth the time of checking out.
