Well right off the bat this film would have been a lot better with a bigger budget. The script was so-so and the special effects were far from the real deal. During the transformation scenes the effects look like something right out of a video game, which makes the film unbelievable. However the acting is not all that bad and yes Kane Hodder is in it as the Biker guy whom just happens to be the Dark Wolf . There is also a lot and I mean a lot of T & A, enough to drive a priest wild, and the girls are beyond great looking which makes it even better. (Sex Sells). But from a horror point of view and with the werewolf genre making a great comeback Darkwolf does not compare to that of “Ginger Snaps” or ” Dog Soldiers”.
I didn’t find the film to be boring, I just thought it lacked some things that could of been better. Is it worth renting? Well if your having a lack of horror in your life and need to see something new, I’d say rent it. It’s full hot nude girls and Kane Hodder so that enough will keep you entertained.
