Recently Mark Engle the Managing Editor of CultCuts Magazine e-mailed me and asked if I would like to review this new magazine dedicated to Horror and Cult films. I got the zine in the mail a few days ago and have not put it down since. All I got to see is Fangoria, Rue Morgue, watch out! There’s a new Horror Magazine in town and it looks as it’s here to stay.

CultCuts has some of the best movie reviews I’ve ever read, And the good thing is it’s not your normal everyday horror films that they review, They review everything, from recent films, to classics, from films from the 80’s and 70’s to overseas films. It’s one of the best without a doubt. Besides the reviews there are some interviews with famous cult and horror personalities, filmmakers, actors and make-up artists. They explore the Indie scene as well. It’s an all together great Magazine, and although it does not have the quality pictures and art work of Fangoria and Rue Morgue and is priced at $5.95 an issue it is all worth it. You will get just as much of a read out of CultCuts then you will out of two issues of Rue Morgue or Fangoria. There are less advertisements and more material to keep you happy for months.

The issue that was sent to me included some great reviews of such films as Battle Royale, Frailty, The Guinea Pig’s Films, $la$her$, Terror Toons, Horror, and Alucarda. There is also a great interview with Tom Savini where he talks about the remake of “Night of the Living Dead”, and his new film “Death Island”.

I can honestly go on and on about how great this Magazine is, but don’t just sit there and listen to me, order the zine here: http://www.cultcuts.net and see for yourself just how good it is.
