I’m going to try and sum all three films up in one review. I really don’t have a lot to say about these films that I haven’t said already about the movies that Camp Motion Pictures releases. You all know that I can’t get enough of this companies films. Camp Motion Pictures is a company that releases the best worst films ever made. The Zombie Blood Bath Trilogy is no different. I liked each film in this trilogy all the same which is the reason why I ranked the trilogy at two and a half stars.
Below is a synopsis of each film as best described on the back cover of the box set. I’d write my own longer version of each film, but these films really don’t have much of plot where I can get into detail. So below sums up each film’s plot at it’s best.
Zombie Bloodbath (1993) Poisoned citizens come back to life as a flesh-hungry horde of monsters following a meltdown at a nuclear power plant
Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead (1995) A group of college kids inadvertently raise the dead – and lots of them! – when they happen upon a grisly murder at an old farmhouse
Zombie Bloodbath 3: Zombie Armageddon (2000) A high school becomes the bloody battlefield between trapped students and an unearthed army of reanimated corpses
So there you have it, that’s what each film is about, in a way each script has the same plot line with just different locations, but they all involve zombies. The acting in each film is the best it can be for a no budget b-movie. And in that case you guessed right, it’s nothing great, but you can tell the cast had fun working on these films, and that’s all that matters when it comes to making a b-movie.
Where there films have there high lights are in the special effects. Although at times they seem very amateurish, they are what make these films what they are. Plenty of blood, guts and gore to go around and keep all the gore hound fans happy. There is a lot of influence from the likes of Dawn and Day of the Dead in a lot of these effects as well.
Overall, if your a fan of Camp Motion Pictures or a fan of low budget zombie films, you might want to g out and buy this DVD right away. Not only do you get all three movies, but you also get a load of special features with this two disc special. Well worth the buy.
