This is going to be a short review. I really don’t review these kinds of audio CDs for the site, but I figured that being that Halloween is around the corner that I might as well give it a shot.
I’m kind of happy that I was given the opportunity to listen to this CD. It is pretty much a CD full of Halloween based productions all with different stories. Ten stories in all. Each story is different, and has it’s own unique poetic way of being told. Honestly while listening to this DVD I found myself thinking that I was listening to a retelling of some of Edgar Allen Poe’s tales. The way the stories are told and expressed are just like the way Poe’s writings are written.
Overall, It took me two roundtrip car rides to work and back to listen to the entire CD. Tracks such as Royal Blood, Cup a’ Joe and VooDoo were favorites of mine. The track “And Nothing More” is probably the most notable tribute to Poe’s work. My recommendation would be to buy this CD and blast it out your windows on Halloween to put the scare and excitement into kids coming to your door trick or treating, or it would be a great CD to play at a Halloween party.
