Despite what all the other critics are saying about this movie, I really liked it. Let’s face it folks it’s no Donnie Darko, but it was good. the film has a neat kind of story that very complexed it deals with time travel and god. (Yeah it does sound like Donnie Darko, I know But it’s very different.) I don’t want to get into the plot cause as always I don’t like to spoil the story for everyone, But the plot is neat and for most of the time it has a good flow, but starts to get a bit repetitive towards the end.
If your the type of person who does not want to see this film because you think Ashton Kutcher can’t act in anything except comedy films, well then your in for a surprise, I think his performance is what makes this film worth seeing. The rest of the actors do pretty good as well, but the best performance I think come from Logan Lerman who play Ashton’s character at age 8, much respect goes out to him for such a great performance.
The effects in the film are good, they are nothing big, but they help the film out and help set the suspense and pace of the film. The Screenplay is pretty good but like I said before the story becomes a bit repetitive towards the end. Overall it’s a good film and I enjoyed it, even cried during some scenes.
