To be honest with you guys, I think this documentary just founds it’s way to my doorstep, I don’t even remember getting an e-mail about it or anything. But as always if it finds it’s way to my door step I’ll review it.
Now “Tales of the Unexplained” seemed more like it was television show in the mid 90’s, produced at Universal Studios, now personally I was big into the unknown then and always watched Television shows such as “Sightings” and “Unsolved Mysteries”, but never remembered seeing “Tales of the Unexplained” on television. My guess is that it didn’t last very long.
It seemed that unlike “Unsolved Mysteries”, “Tales of the Unexplained” was more of a magazine type television show. There were no reenactments really, just interviews and some photos and maybe some live video. Not much of reenactments, which I felt made the stories less interesting. However I did find the stories to have a lot more facts and in-depth stories than say “Sightings” or “Unsolved Mysteries” had.
Some of the UFO and Alien stories are really funny, and many of the people they interviews claimed to be from other planets and said that in the year between 1997 and 2003 that aliens would make them self know to earthlings. Well that never happened. However the psychic stuff was pretty good, especially predictions about the second gulf war and Osama Bin Laden, as the next Anti-Christ figure following the steps of Hitler.
Overall the DVD is not bad, but I think the story’s are too in-depth and it’s not something that most people can bare to sit though. I for one found the information provided within the shows to be educational, but I believe the average person won’t really give a dam, they just want some kind of proof. But I think anyone who is really into the unknown, and Ufo’s and Aliens will enjoy this short series of shows.
