Alright, I really don’t know what the fuck this film is trying to prove, or if it’s trying to make any kind of entertaining statement at all, but my god does this film have the worst acting in a motion picture ever. Let’s put it this way folks; if I took a blender and added the following films to it: Star Wars, Star Trek, Starship Troopers, Mad Max and Pitch Black, as well as a few other films that this movie takes from, add the possible lowest budget for a Sci-fi film, and that’s what Planetfall ends up being.

So what the hell is this film about; well I’ll try to explain it to you if your that curious. A military transport carrying a shipment of some drug that gives people enhanced psychic powers, crash lands on a planet that much like ours; a war torn one. Now everyone from the good, the bad and ugly are trying to get there hands on it. So pretty much there are these two female bounty hunters who are trying to save the world or some shit from one another, and the communist like government of the plant known as Zitia declares martial law. and everyone gets super psychic powers and jump around like they they got Jedi powers or some shit. Honestly I don’t know how much of the plot I was paying attention too, because the acting was killing me.

Speaking of acting, I’m not one to bash actors, but in this care maybe I should go after the director, because my god, the acting was so dry and so dam generic, It seemed as if no one knew their lines and they were reading off of cue cards. Ok some maybe I was being a bit to harsh because some of the actors were pretty decent, and I’ll single them out. Snipe Myers was probably the best actor this film had to offer, and the two women who played the bounty hunters were not that bad. But don’t even ask me about the rest of the cast. cause; well you get the hint.

The filming of this movie seemed very generic as well. I mean the editing was nothing great and either were the shots used. The film however was saved by the editing which enabled the movie to at least have some kind of flow, with all the cheap visual effects and fades however you can tell there was an editing cover up.

The special effects were that of the cheapest kind, and although I understand with such small budget you can’t have all the gilts and glamour that big Hollywood effects studios have to offer, but in all realty having such cheap effects hurts the look the film altogether and takes away from the realistic experience the viewer is trying to involve themselves in.

Overall, I was never one for low budget Sci-fi films, so it was probably not fare that someone like myself review such a movie. I’m guessing that if your into those cheap sci-fi films that play on the Sci-fi channel you might like this film, but as for me, well lets just say that it’s pretty clear I didn’t care for this film at all.
