I have been criticized for giving a film a good review on the plan fact that it was just a “fun: film. Well I don’t care what anyone says it’s my opinion anyway, you don’t like it, tough! With that said National Treasure does not have much of what would be consisted an academy award winning film, but it was a “Fun” film.
I had a blast watching this film, it’s not one of those films that is great with cinematic presence, but it works, and the film happens to have a good message in the end. There are plenty of cheap one liners in the script and the dialogue is not the best, but the story although very long and dragged out is still fun to watch and go along with. The acting I thought was alright, nothing special. One thing I did really appreciate with this film is that there was not an over abundance of CGI or visuall effects in this film. I believe there was only one big CGI shot at the end of the film, which was needed but did not ruin or blow out the film in anywayOverall National Treasure is a great little fun filled film, well worth checking out for people who are fans of films like Indiana Jones and other adventure films. Others might just want to wait until it comes out on DVD.
