I was surprised about this film, with the recent amount of bad films coming out on video, this one was not all that bad. It was fast paced and moved, there were some things that pointed out low budget horror film, but it had a lot more than most of the films being released.
The acting was alright ,there are some genre favorites such as Karen Black from “House of 1000 Corpses”. the other actors did alright as well, but nothing can call their performances academy award winning. The effects were ok, but during most of the shots that involved Pyrotechnics you can point out the fact that they were stunt doubles in fire suits. Really great marketing job marketing the Miner who looked a lot like the Creeper. The sets and Art direction were really good, that’s really what helped make the film work.
Over all not a bad film but not a great film either, the good thing’s about “Miners Massacre” Is that it’s fast paced, it’s not boring, and for the most part the story works well. Not bad for a B movie.
