Alright, so “Make A Wish” is a lesbian horror film, fair enough. It’s got great looking and not so great looking women in it. ( I think more better looking, but that my opinion.) It’s kind of a horror comedy. A group of women go camping for an annual Birthday party for Susan, who always like to invite her Ex-lovers every year to go with her. 9That would never work for us men, although we wish it would.) Anyway we have a variety of girls some of which who are no longer gay anymore, and other are leading the same lifestyle but in different ways. The film starts off on the edge as a hunter and jealous boyfriend get into the mix as well as a detective. The story gets a little crazy from there as people start to disappear one by one.
The acting is kind of bad, but I think that was the intention of the film, It’s a spoof of such films as Sleepaway Camp and Campfire Stories, It also has a Bloody Murder kind of feel to it, but a lot better. The story moves and has that eighties horror camp to it. The quality of the picture is great and the lighting and production value are a pleasure to watch. It does however seem like a film that was aimed to please the gay crowd, but open minded people such as myself will not have a problem watching it for it’s horror and humor. It’s not over done so bad that the film feels like it was made for just lesbians to understand. The Effects are alright, nothing major just some cheap blood and chocking nothing that will blow your socks off.
Overall it’s not a bad flick but not a great one either. It’s kind some good humor and some fun scares. Some great girl on girl scenes as well.
