Well, where do I begin? every once in a while I get a film from Custom Flix, however I’m not sure what the deal is with that company as they always send their movies to my old mailing address. You seriously don’t know how many times I’ve e-mailed them my new address and they still send it to the old. Well if you have ever moved and had a package sent to your old address, you’ll know that the post office will charge you an extra shipping fee if the mail forward has expired, thus this film cost me money to get. Was it worth it? Lets just say I want my money back.

“Waning Solstice” is one of those films I only got about half-way though, so for me to review the whole film is probably not the right thing to do, however for what I did watch I really could not get though. It’s one of those films where a bunch of friends got together with a video camera and made a horror film. The movie is way to long and if it had any hope, the director would edit the film down to around 90mins. Do we really need to see a bunch of people in cheap demon make-up dance around a body for 10 minutes? Well stuff like this bores me to the death and is pretty much why I didn’t care for the film. I did like the idea behind the plot, but I felt that if better casting decisions were made and the script was edited, it could of been promising. However in the world of indie films it’s hit or miss, and I feel that if I recommended this films to my readers that I would get hate mail.

So overall, I can’t recommend this film. It lacks any true greatness need to catch the eyes of horror fans. It’s more like a home video with some make-up effects and a wild story.
