When I first read the press release for “The Box” It sounded like a good enough thriller that it could pass on the border line of horror, well I was wrong, it was more of a crime/thriller. However I’d figure I’d give it a shot, and watch it.
Well I found “The Box” to be a bit boring, even though it had such great actors like Brad Douif (Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, Voice of Chucky in Child’s Play films. ) the film simply did not work for me. I was bored and it was not the acting which I thought was fine but the story and screenplay bored me. I’m guessing maybe it was because I was expecting some good horror, but got nothing. I found myself getting up to get food and not even pausing my DVD player.
So As for my review, well there’s much for me to say, I really didn’t care for it, and rather than go crazy with why I did not like it, I’d rather just leave it up to you the people, it’s not a horror film but rather a crime/thriller. Rent it for yourself if your into these kind of films, however it was not my cup of tea.
