The Legend Liminal is one of the most heartfelt books I have read in a long time. Stacey, Shelton, and Spence are dealing with the grief of losing their mother when their camper enters a liminal space with their best friend Faye included. They wander in circles, searching for answers, and pick up a stranger, Ramone. Normal rules don’t apply in this world. Time doesn’t run as it should. There are no other human beings. And there is no explanation for any of what transpired at the gas station when things went sideways.

This story is like Groundhog Day meets The Breakfast Club for me. And I loved every minute of it because the teenagers were so real and the situations they were in were so difficult to comprehend.

I had no idea how the book was going to end, but it comforts me to think that somewhere out there in the big wide world there is still a camper filled with teenagers eating Doritos and drinking Dr. Pepper while trying to figure out the meaning of life and how the universe works. Charming and emotional, prepare yourself with a few tissues before reading this one.
