The only reason I am including a review of “The Dead Hate The Living” is as a service to fellow horror film fans and zombie buffs. Nobody should have to sit through this steaming pile of crap. I certainly am not going to waste too much effort or electricity writing about it either!
A group of wanna be film makers break into a hospital to make a horror film. They end up re-animating a corpse and accidentally open a portal to hell or some other dimension which brings in boatloads of zombies. Do they escape from the hospital where they are now trapped? Will anybody watch this film all the way through to find out? Not many I’m sure.
Where do I start? The script is beyond hokey and is further butchered by the “acting” if it can be called that although perhaps with better script SOME of the cast MAY have a future. The S/FX are just laughable! You really wonder how “director” Dave Parker makes it through the day let alone trys and make a freaking movie. Really that’s about it. This movie is just plan bad and even if you are a fanatical zombie completest you don’t need to own or even see this barf burger.
I hate to waste any more time, but I must comment on the mind numbing decision to include a making of documentary on the DVD. I mean it should have been called “How to make a piece of shit” You end up disliking these people even more than before because all think they are is George Romero or Dan O’ Bannon and come across as arrogant and self centered, as if the movie wasn’t a worthless suck fest. It Boggles the mind ,it really does

It is truly, truly awful. Even worse, Dave Parker made the incomprehensible decision to not include nudity because he said in an interview that he felt it would attract a “higher quality level of actresses.” If anything needs stark naked women running around, it was that atrocious clunker.
