Well, it’s safe to say that The Iris Effect is not a horror film, nor is it a Sci-fi or Fantasy film. But it is a Thriller that follows a mother all the way across the Atlantic to St. Petersburg, Poland, in search of her missing son. However the story leads to believe that this women is maybe somewhat psychotic, and is still dwelling on the fact that her missing son is still alive after years of searching that’s lead investigators nowhere. However she soon discover that her son painting are being displayed in Poland, and she her self decides to travel there and search for her son. However things take a turn for the worse as she begins to discover all the things that have been going on, with her and her son.

Pretty much folks I found this film to be beautifully filmed and directed. The acting was great and the locations and overall production value of the film was excellent, however the story and plot just dragged on and on. And I found myself losing focus, and getting bored with not only the script, but the overall film as well. To be honest I’m going to keep this review short and sweet. It was not my kind of thriller.

So overall, the production value of the film was excellent, and the director, cast and crew did a great job in making this film. But as far as the story went. I just wasn’t interested in it. This is probably a film that women will probably enjoy most than men, as it seems a lot like one of those thrillers you see on The Lifetime Network. So if your into the many made for television movie that they produce, this is one you’ll probably would like to check out.
