An obvious quote on the back seems a little fishy. To claim that this makes SILENCE OF THE LAMBS look like BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S, something is cocky about it. Sure it’s a great ploy to lure you into the web, so we’ll go with that one. Hopefully its down right treacherous.

Alec Clark. A lonely and introverted young lad. Working at a local fine dining establishment. As a dishwasher. I would safely assume he’s a little repressed, since living with his Alzheimer’s ridden Grandma and battered Mother. So he literally, and sadly jumps on the slight chance the waitress Mary would, and could go on a date. She aggrees, out of pity really. He feels her discomfort and, by the end of the date becomes so frustrated, and calmly at that, he knocks out the poor girl. Brings her to the basement. It just happens the Mother is away on a trip and the Grandma isn’t in any hurry to recognize reality anyways so he’s pretty much scott free there. So for a few days, she is tied and held against her will. He helps her potty, feeds her, and tends to her quite liberally. Not that much of a threat, or at least while watching this he doesn’t pose anything. Just a repressed boy. The semi Boyfriend restaurant owner, tracks down Marc since he did quit and storm the establishment nude. Something funny? Might as well look into Mary not being at work and him all of a sudden giving the finger to the big brother.

Well well, look at what we have here. Sounds like the boss finds his way into the house and hears Mary screaming below the boards. He forces himself to the basement in which from behind, a pan comes down, gets knocked out, and they both spend a few hours together in the basement. She breaks free, gives Mark a little of his medicine and calmly waits for the cops. The end.

The plot is basic as hell. Not much to the suspense really when Mark is such a mellow loner. Sure she was pissed, but not frantically, and this BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’s deal. No way, not even close. A real lacker if you ask me. It’s not a bad flick, just kind of slow and never does it get into 2nd gear.

Full of behind the scenes, bloopers, and really, the saddest part of the whole thing. A memorial video for the director who passed away. Shayne was born 1969 and left 1999. A short lived and ambitious director. He wasn’t ready to leave, he still had a shitload of potential. I’m pretty damn sure he’ll be missed. Show them up there what you’ve got, we know you’ve got it bro.
