Riding Hood Motion Pictures has released the haunting first look teaser trailer of the noir crime thriller, “Wolf Mother.” The cross-genre film, which is written and directed by Erik Peter Carlson (“Transatlantic Coffee”, “The Toy Soldiers”) stars Najarra Townsend (“Contracted”), New York stage actor, Kevin Pinassi, and star of David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” revival, Tom Sizemore (“Heat”, “Saving Private Ryan”).
“In an attempt to rectify their criminal past, a once successful Hollywood starlet, turn prostitute, and a petty thief, set out together to solve a high-profile child abduction case in San Francisco.”
The 1-minute teaser reveals the first glimpses of our heroes Townsend and Pinassi as they mastermind a scheme to find the celebrity child star, Kaitlin Miller, played by newcomer, Kaegan Baron. The teaser explores the dark sequences of horror and suspense of their journey, as well as the Mansonesque clan behind the kidnapping in the captivating opening moments.
“I’m drawn to stories that in some way are connected to the current state of mind. Stories that are happening now, in our own backyard. Most of the time for me, they just happen to be the darker stories,” says Erik Peter Carlson, writer/director of “Wolf Mother.”
From the little that is revealed in the gripping teaser, Carlson, like his previous work, seems not to shy away from the shock.
“Wolf Mother” has invited their fans to get involved by joining them on social media as they countdown to the release of the thriller’s release this summer as well as a forthcoming full-length trailer. “Wolf Mother is one hell of a ride through personal hardships, as we experience our antiheroes attempting to regain some composure of their moral compass,” says Carlson.
“Wolf Mother” is the third feature film from writer/director, Erik Peter Carlson and Riding Hood Motion Pictures, which produced the teen drama, “The Toy Soldiers”, which was released by AMC Theaters in 2014.
Also showcased in the teaser are many faces horror fans will recognize, including, Maria Olsen, Dave Vescio, and Douglas Bennett.
