Holy shit! WHAT THE HELL! CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY VIEWING HERE? I’VE SEEN SOME BRUTALITY IN MY DAY BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! If you are familiar with the Nutbag himself Nick Pulumbo from Vegas, than you know where I am heading. If not, let me give you a little history. He started out a few years ago with his first feature film entitled NUTBAG!!!!!! This was a lesson in depravity. All the things that should be wrong are wrong. All the taboos that should not be broken are inadvertently existent. His brand of exploitation can make one man up heave his morals and start right on the crack. The tale about a lonely Nutbag and his tribulations on the Vegas strip. One by one, he takes down all that is dirty and sex driven. That was pretty much the basis with that flick. The worst was all the hot and sexy strippers that were killed along the way. One huge breasted bimbo after another. It was a shame, and one that I had to sit through. It was made on a $60, 000 budget and received acclaim for it’s savagery. I interviewed him and his partner, the Nutbag himself on the radio show I did a few years ago and that is exactly what he sent out to do in the first place. Fuck the story, it’s all about the gratuitous violence. He sure did it right because that is all it was.
Years later and I run into his name again. He sends me press on what is happening in the world of the Fright Flix department. A new venture and new violence. This time with 35mm and a big budget. Filming completes now he’s having trouble getting the film transferred because the amount of violence and utter shock. How’s that for a savage film. He gets the guys who work with Killjoy of Necrophagia, Toe Tag FX and a slew of famous horror heroes. Tony Todd (Candyman, Night of the Living Dead 90‘), Gunner Hansen (original Leatherface) along side Ed Neal of the famed hitchhiker of “The” original Texas also. This time a bigger budget, same story line though. That’s the only thing that kind of bothered me. He had time to work it up but I guess that is not what he was going for. The sheer violence factor was the major concern. He stepped over those boundaries once again. It deals with the new Nutbag in a sense, going around and cleaning up the city with the filth that litters the streets. A little bit of a relationship involved this time but not really the main concern, actually doesn’t really do anything to the story. Just that he doesn’t care if he has a wonderful and sensitive girlfriend. All that races through his mind is kill kill kill. How about a slippery blue female torso and gradually ripping off pieces of tit in the meantime to spice things up. How about killing shit loads of kids. How about watching a little Nutbag for inspiration. How about it eh! The violence factor does not let loose. The gore is supreme. The moral outline is non existent. It’s brutal and you can smell the stench of rot coming from his room of disease. If it weren’t for this man throwing me a copy of his atrocious slaughterthon I’d be safe in the years of the past. What is in the future for this man. Will he ever get a normal movie made? I think not, if the chance to do it was then and he did this, I believe he is the answer to today’s Ruggero Deodato’s and Herschel Gordon Lewis. Only worse. Watch the Fuck out, he’ll knock you down hard and you be split open from top to bottom. Then gut you open, eat your inside’s then have his way with the putrescence. Probably then he wouldn’t stop. Guttural and unforgiving. Geeeeeeee-ross.
