Ok, well here is a indie film that unlike the other two films released by The Central Film Company, actually looks like it had some kind of budget. It was shot better than the other two film, however in terms of story and plot. Living Nightmare in a sense was a living nightmare to watch.
I did in fact get up a lot during this film, paused it a lot and actually just listened to most of the film to try to give it somewhat of a chance. However I just could not get into the story. It was way to weird and quite frankly was boring.
The film is about, “Several friends who are invited to a party at an abandoned hotel, not knowing that it would be their last”. Ok so that’s the first sentence on the back cover. This is what the second sentence reads: “Young People go to a party that would be the biggest and best they would ever attend not knowing it would be their last” Umm did I miss something or are both those sentences trying to tell me the same thing. From what I got out of the film is that some odd ball guy who has some serious issues involving his own demons, takes this girl out on a date to wherever the fuck they were going. Her Dad hates every guy she dates and want to kick the shit out of them. And then there’s some crazy weirdo running around. That’s really all I got out of this flick. It’s not that I was not paying attention, although trust me if you were attempting to review this film, you’d probably can think of better things to do also.
Overall, the film was shot well, but it was not a film that I personally could get into and enjoy. The plot was weird and all over the place, and for some reason I really didn’t care for the acting at all. A good effort but not my cup of tea.
