A double dose of short story gore-ies. They wanted to unleash all that is evil and disgusting. You can certainly give them that one. Seeing Mr. Alexandre Michaud is single handedly the man who brought forth the campy Urban Flesh in all it’s low budget sickening platters of heaping splatters with the more ambitious and gore-ied storied Beast. Along with the Brimestone films man himself, Kevin Lindenmuth. They both have some sort of debt to pay to the almighty gore god, slit their wrists for the red. That’s what I always say. I love John Dodo, the host to this twisted mess of mutilation and mushy sauce. That sick fuck really knows how to mess you up, and I mean mentally.
Agustine Arredondo directs the first of these gruesome gritters, by the likes of Holy Terror (an already titled b fest on the www.b-movie.com catalogue directed by Max Cerchi). A man in dire need of release from some odd force within him. Not able to get whatever seems to be devouring him from internally, he commits acts of degradation and dishonesty. Not knowing what side to listen to since he is having the Catholics and the Satanists following and watching his every move, confusion sets in and a rampaging he goes. He finds out little tid bits as he goes along and suddenly comes to the conclusion that ……….. It’s not gonna be that easy. You’ll have to see for yourself.
The second short, the gorier of the 2 brings forth Berzerkers! A time of zombie to lay waste to a peaceful countryside in order to crave their flesh. An already down driven society run with the undead, a small group forge together a truce to ward off the ill and keep themselves alive. Can all of them be trusted? Are any on the evil side? Are they with the evil side? Only I know and that’s for you to find out.
I have always been down with Lindenmuth and his movies (Rage Of The werewolf, Addicted To Murder). They way he handles his surroundings and brings forth low budget promise. His version on zombies gruesomely delivers the gross-eries with heaping helpings of gutsy putrescence and putrid offerings. Guts, heads, and tons more guts get thrown every which way but loose. Zombies are supposed to be brutal, and they think the same way as I do. Holy Terror is a more story driven episode with it’s disbelief and conquering. All staged for a glorious mouthful of plasma to be sprawled all over the T.V. set. These 2 are a fine couple of grue-masters wanting to direct the big splat fest to end all splat fests. This one is certainly in the running and the next one, which is in it’s post production stage as I write this is coming back to slice off that old noodle of yours. Oh god, can you handle the scrumptious essence? Fuck ya, bring it on bitch!!!!!!
