I was a big fan of the first Ginger Snaps, and Ginger Snaps 2 is very similar in style as the first film, just a different story. It pretty much starts where it left off. Bridgette is now a werewolf but is injecting her self with the wolf bane to keep herself from turning. The male wolf is hot on her tracks, hunting her down to mate with. Well to make things simple she is found by the police and sent to a rehab facility where she meets this unknown odd girl nicknamed ghost, who is obsessed with comics. From there you the two help each other try to get out of the facility and so on and so forth.

The story is very faced paced and moves along a lot quicker than the original film did. The story this time around is less complexed and does not refer much to the first film at all, except for the ghost of ginger who appears to Bridgette every now and then. Lets put it this way, you need to see the first film in order to understand this one.

The directing and art direction are pretty good, Not much to really say about it.

The effect are decent, as decent as you make a werewolf puppet, although you really don’t see much of him in the film. (I’m guessing the budget had a lot to do with that.) However Bridgette make-up looks really good. There is some blood here and there but its not over the top gory, and we have a very small body count in this film.

Overall I enjoyed most of the film except for the ending which I thought was just a little out there, and kind of ruined the flow of the film for me. But it’s worth checking out if your a fan of the first film.
