Yet another fantastic piece of cinematic gore brought to you buy the lovely team at The Asylum. Their flicks just get better and better and better and…….. Anyways here you have another entry into the zombie genre, and a freakin great one at that.
All I have to say is 28 DAYS LATER and the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake in a prison. All are locked down and have no way out. In my books, once you mention those flicks I’m in awe and already a huge fan.
Gore flies rampantly, literally buckets full. Gun shots splatter the prison walls, guts are yanked from afar, necks gashed wide open, kids dismantled, you name it. It has it all. Everything I ever look at in a flick. When the zombies run at full throttle that makes it just that much more engaging and suspenseful. I actually had a nightmare that night after watching this flick. Good job on that one. The score is greatly laid down by Mel Lewis, an Asylum member through and through. BEAST OF BRAY ROAD, FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE, JOLLY ROGERS, LEGION OF THE DEAD, and so on.
