You know what, I feel really bad giving this film a bad review, because the director of this film is a pretty cool guy. As most of you know pretty much anything Brain Damage Films releases I have given a bad review. There just not my type of films. The very low, low budget look, bad audio and so on. In a nutshell anyone can make a film lke this using a video camera, a budget of two hundred bucks, a couple of friends and a female willing to get nude and rub blood all over herself. without that last part, you won’t get distribution, I know from experience. In the eyes of a distribution company; nudity means money and its the dam truth. Now Cannibal Cam usually reviews anything from Brain Damage, as they are more of his type of films, but as for myself, well you get the hint.
Now as for “Dead Body Man” I’ll put it this way, if your looking for a low/no budget b-movie, with somewhat amateur filmmaking, and need a good laugh, then this film is totally for you. But if your like myself and after years of film school and making and watching films like this for four years, and then realizing how bad they were. Your not going to get though the first fifteen minutes of this film. In a nutshell this film is made for those who enjoy ultra low budget B-movies, and in that sense, “Dead Body Man” is a decent flick.
The acting, production value and script are all over the place as expected. You know when watching a b-movie that you can’t expect anything great. However in terms of special make-up effects, this film has some pretty good make-up work. There is a lot of fake blood and guts to go around, and a fare share of nude women also.
So overall, “Dead Body Man” is not for everyone. You really have to be into low budget horror flicks to enjoy it. And if your like myself, it won’t be your cup of tea.
