“Border Blues” is not a horror film at all, in fact it’s more of an action thriller, which should explain my short review. I usually don’t review films like this, but MTI sent me a screener so I figured what the hell.
Well “Border Blues” is not half bad, it’s actually a pretty decent little film. The plot is kind of complicated so I really won’t get to much into it. There is a lot of things going on in this film to the point where the story might be too overdeveloped. It kind of gets crazy, on one hand we have a Russian women and her five year old daughter looking for her husband who is on the run. Trying to get into the U.S. they hire a guy who smuggles illegals into the country. Then we have Los Angles police looking for a mail bomb killer, well the two stories come together as the film moves along and it all makes sense in the end.
Overall it got some great acting and a pretty good story. The only thing that make it reek of low budget are the effects and some of the sets. it’s not a bad little film and well worth checking out if your into action thrillers.
