My god, what the hell are these people trying to do, send me to an early grave. I’m guessing people really don’t read my submission requirements on the site, and it’s obvious.
“Don’t Turn Around” is a film that was made by amateurs. It looks as if this film was shot on a camcorder by a group of friend who just wanted to make a movie. Respectfully I will say that this is a good thing to do if your trying to become a filmmaker. Anyone will tell you practice makes perfect. However this is not a film that you want to send out for reviews. it’s good to show your close friends and family, but the public, Not a good idea.
First off, I pretty much did not have a dam clue what was going on. The plot was all over the place and if a script was even written for this film, then it was on the fly. There was no lighting at all, yes there was the light on the camcorder, but there no professional lighting to help your viewers actually see the action.
Pretty much I don’t mean to be an asshole, but this is not a professionally made film, it’s not even a made by indie filmmakers. It’s an amateur home made movie. It’s a good way to start and learn all the techniques needed to be used in the business, but it’s not a film that I would want the whole world to see. Good first attempt, and I give the filmmakers respect for completing the film. But overall, it’s a film that no one outside of your friends and family are going to like.
