My Review of “Jeepers Creepers 2”.
I’ll admit it, I thought this film was going to be bad, I said to myself when I first heard word of the sequel that I thought it would just be another old horror sequel . Then I heard it was going to be like Hitchcock’s Lifeboat, and well folks it was.
Jeepers Creepers 2 has all the suspense of a Hitchcock film, it is even shot and edited like a Hitchcock film, Not to also mention the soundtrack, yeah you guessed it, it’s got a Hitchcock type soundtrack as well. There was some gore but it was not over the top. There is a lot of CGI effects that are alright, The Creeper does fly in this film and he flies a lot. Most of the kill scenes are left to the imagination, but we do see some people get killed in detail. The film is more suspense driven than gore driven.
What I did not like about the film was some of the dialogue used by some of the students on the bus, I know I’m a dialogue bitch, I myself am guilty of writing bad lines in scripts but sometimes there no way of getting around them. However towards the beginning of the film they started to turn me off a little but they go away once The Creepers comes around. I can’t think of anything else that I did not like though, It was by far an enjoyable horror sequel.
Overall I really enjoyed Jeepers Creepers 2, it was fun, suspenseful and had some great moments. Fans of the original will enjoy this film, and fans of Hitchcock films will enjoy it as well.
