Well, I guess you can say that I got lucky last night, I never pre-ordered my ticket online, and never had the time to go to the theater to get my ticket in advance, So last night I went to a large multiplex that was showing the film on seven screens last night. However when I got there around 10:30pm last night, there was not one space available for me to park my car. So I said screw this and drove another 10 miles to a local mom and pop theater, the screens at this place were fairly new and and they had a good sound system, but the seat are so dam uncomfortable. But none the less, parking was not a problem and the theaters was not that packed out either. So I sat there for about an hour and played around with my cell phone, until the movie began. Of course all the fan boys went nuts and started to clap, but hence the movie had started.

Now I have always been a huge “Star Wars” fan, I never liked “Star Trek”, hell I can’t stand “Star Trek”, but when it comes to “Star Wars” I know my shit. So I’ve been asking myself how an I going to write this review. Well it’s going to be a bit different than the way I usually write my reviews, First I’m going to write Spoilers and go though the whole movie first Then to sum it all up I’m going to write what I liked about the film and what I hated about it, which is not much.

First off I must warn everyone that I am going to write some spoilers in this review so beware.

“Revenge of the Sith” I think has the best opening sequence at of all the “Star Wars” films. We are taken into this huge battle over the planet of Coruscant. Where Count Dooku has kidnapped Supreme Chancellor Palpatine (soon to be know as The Sith Lord, Emperor Palpatine) Anakin and Obi-Wan fight their way onto the ship and rescue Palpatine, right after Anakin in a one on one battle with Dooku kills him off, after Obi-Wan get knocked out. We begin to see in this scene how Palpatine begins to use Anakin to do his dirty work and turn him over to the dark side of the force. I for one really loved the beginning, you were bought right into the battle, and it was nothing but none stop for a full twenty minutes or so. The the film goes into some short scenes here and there to help develop the story, Yoda goes to the wookie planet of Kashyyyk, to help them out with fighting the war there. We find out that Padme is pregnant, and Obi-Wan is sent to destroy General Grievous, the leader of the droid army. we also learn that Papatine appoints Anakin to be his voice on the Jedi council, however the jedi refrain from giving Anakin the rank of master, which upsets Anakin even more. So without getting into it to much the movie jumps from scene to scene as Anakin slowly becomes seduced by the dark side and then becomes Darth Vader. Now what you will find out is that Anakin becomes Darth Vader before he even starts wearing the black mask. After a huge Jedi battle between Mace Windu and Papatine, with Anakin and Papatine killing Mace Windu off. Papatine take Anakin under his wing and gives him the name Darth Vader. Anakin then goes on a rampage and goes to the Jedi temple and kills off all the remaining Jedi. The now appointed Emperor also send a single out to all the shoulder in the wars to kill off any Jedi that are with then. So we get this great montage of scenes where Jedi are being killed off on all different planets. Yoda escapes with the help then none other than Chewbacca, and Obi-Wan manages to get away also and they all meet up on Senator Bail Organa Blockade Runner. They all agree to go back to Coruscant to find out what is going on. Well from there, is when all the craziness begins. Anakin is sent off to kill a bunch of other important people and aliens on another planet, Obi-wan and Yoda find out the truth of what’s going on, and Yoda goes off to fight Papatine while Obi-wan tracks down Anakin. Well in a nut shell Yoda escapes the battle with Papatine, Obi-Wan defeats Anakin, where Anakin is left legless and goes of fire due the extreme heat of the planet. Padme after being choked by Anakin is bought back to a ship by obi-wan where she gives birth to Luke and Leia. And Anakin barely alive is rescued by Papatine and sent to a medical facility where he is fixed up and now dawns the black helmet of Darth Vader.

The film is great, and unlike the the first two which were kind of hokey in some respects, Episode 3 is more like the original films in terms of story. Lucas really shows us that not only is Star Wars a sci-fi film but that it’s also a story full or drama. I honestly don’t have many complaints about the film, however at times the acting was bit shaky and some of the lines used in the film were a bit cheesy. The Effects were really good, some of the animals looked fake but I guess not everything can look real.

Overall, I’m sure mostly everyone will go see Episode 3 no matter what my opinion is, but I say it’s a must for all fans of the “Star Wars” saga. I don’t think waiting for it to come out on DVD will be a wise choice. May the force be with you.
