Last week I received an e-mail from one
of my favorite horror authors "Brian Keene" In the e-mail he thanked
me for my support and for giving his book "The Rising"
(Review)
a great review. He then told me that he had some
book covers for the paperback version of his new books "City of the
Dead" and "Terminal". He said that he wanted to send me some signed
copies to give away here on the site to our visitors. (Coming
next week) So I gave him my address and that was that.
Well I'm not really living home anymore,
that's with my parents I mean, I've been off living with my
fiancée's house with her family as we get ready to move into a house
of our own sometime this year. So tonight (Friday April 29th.) I
decided to come home for the night, get my mail and what not. I saw
the package from Brian laying on my dresser in my room and opened it
up, read the note that he wrote me on what was two pages from "City
of the Dead" that he was editing, and then looked though the covers
he had sent to me, all of them were signed with two of them
personally signed for myself. I read what he wrote for the
"Terminal" cover first. For Bob - Thanks! Signed Brian
Keene. Well I though that was cool him, then I looked at the one
he signed for me on the cover of "City of the Dead": For
Bob, Who did that awesome review on the back cover? Signed Brian
Keene. I said to myself "Back Cover" as I stood there with
what my fiancée call my "Dumb Look" on my face. I turned over the
cover and saw at the top a quote I wrote in my review of "The
Rising" "Brian Keene is the next Stephen King!" - The Horror
Review. Brian really surprised me on this one, I am honored to
be quoted. So What can say. Thanks Brian, I really appreciate the
support. Tomorrow I'm buying a frame for the cover, and when my
fiancée and I do get our house, I already told her it's going right
by our wedding picture.
So people do me a favor and do the world a favor,

"The
Rising" will be one of the best, most frightening books you'll ever
read. And buy "City of the Dead" the sequel to
"The Rising" as well
