"Zombie Doom" also known as VIOLENT SHIT 3-INFANTRY OF DOOM is
an ULTRA low budget film (Shot on a home movie quality Video
camera) from German director Andreas Schnaas. Well that's
probably the best thing I can say about this piece of crap.
The name Violent Shit is incredibly apropos because I may not
have seen a worse movie in my entire life.
The movie continues the story of Karl the Butcher who in
this installment now has his own island where he commands his
minions. He's figured out a way to bring back the dead and is
using the zombies to create an army so he can conquer the
world. Three men get stranded on the island and want to escape
and Karl the Butcher, kind soul that he is, gives them a head
start. What follows is just silly but the men fight back and
give old Karl a run for his money.
I'm a fan of low budget cinema and I'm the first to cut
people some slack on production values and acting if a film or
director shows promise. I don't feel compelled to cut anybody
slack for this film. I really can't say much about this movie.
I'm not entirely sure what the plot is beyond some unlucky
people being stranded and Karl The Butcher and his buds not
being happy about it. There is a doctor who reanimates a
corpse (dead cow?) and some random unexplained zombie action.
The only redeeming quality the film has is it's use of fake
blood which must be where they spent all their money because
while they skimped everywhere else in the film (lamest
costumes ever!!) they went nuts on the blood.. Gallons of it
get tossed around but to no great effect. Every example of
gore is obviously some part of a cow!! It's really pathetic. I
do have some minor interest in trying to dig up VIOLENT SHIT
parts 1 & 2 just to see what the hell they were thinking.
Lastly I must comment on the crap dubbing job they did . OH MY
GOD!!!! How they let this stinker out of the studio with
dubbing that is not even high school level amazes me. It might
be just 1 or 2 people doing the voices of at least 15 on
screen "actors" and they are horrid. Schnaas also throws in
snippets filmed in Super 8 periodically and for no apparent
reason. I guess it was his way of being "creative" but it's
like the rest of this monstrosity and just sucks.
Ok I've wasted too much time on this bomb already. Someone
once said "If you can't say something nice don't say anything
at all". So I'll shut up now.
