Now this is some Al Adamson I can get into. Sure it has it’s downs, but what do you expect from a modern day Ed wood. Still though, it catches the true essence of the 70’s era and flavor. Also has a hot Jill Jacobson (Numerous TV spots including Falcon Crest, Instinct To Kill, Jigsaw Murders) becoming possessed and demented, all happening when a local loony becomes hospitalized. Oh Yeah, did I mention this mostly takes place at the most cramped hospital that you’d never want to step foot in. 3 blazing nurses, 1 doctor and few patients within a 30 foot radius. Anyhoo, Reanhaur (Bill Roy) gathers a collective of persuasive followers to join him in a battle to overcome death. “Rise William Rise” they all chant. As the chant increases volume, the more dramatic the scene becomes. “Rise William, Rise”. Just when William rises, the good leader himself collapses from a severe heart attack. Off to the most populated hospital he goes, which soon he becomes a heaping mess of dead tissue. He won’t stop there, not when the doctors try to save him medically. He wants it spiritually. His way or no way. They try and he dies. Now, the orbly enhanced Sherri lays in a sexy housecoat, a scribbly green aura arises and becomes one with the Sherri, the nurse that is. She can’t control the new overwhelming presence. Maniacal rampages ensue and people start dropping like flies. Seems like the music was lifted from stock footage of an earlier horror. Done like the H.G. Lewis school of movie making. Is it Sherri‘s fault? Will she pay for her actions? I guess one won‘t know until they watch this cinematic travesty in an era of trashy exploitation.

This disc contains an uncut never before seen transfer along with Al commentary. A rare TV spot and a trailer. This is my kind of flick. Yes, in this movie, things actually happen to keep your interest peeked. I mean it this time. Al has trouble with that , but this one works. Budge gore, lame acting, gawky visual effects. All the great makings of a serious viewing experience. If you like that sort of thing.
