"Blood Relic" is the new film by director J. Christian Ingvordsen (Bog Creatures) and just like "Bog Creatures" this film also stars Debbie Rochon. However comparing the two film would not be suitable for this review as the ideas are very different from one another.

"Blood Relic" is pretty much just another one of your basic B-movie horror films. A basic plot, some nude women and a lot of horror.  The Plot revolves around a navy base that is about to be converted into an air and space museum. 22 years ago a navy pilot named Frank Campbell went on a killing spree after finding an ancient talisman.  Since then Frank has been committed to psychiatric institute, however his time there has passed and he has been released.  Now he makes his way back to the navy base where the curse is set to be unleashed again.

The film kind of starts off slow and seems more like a girls gone wild video than a movie, but then the plot kicks in and we get our basic horror film, it's nothing special, but it will keep your attention. There is plenty of T & A, maybe a bit too much in my opinion and all the nudity kind of took away from the plot of the film.

The acting was alright, nothing great. I mean it was pretty basic and believable enough. The production value was alright, nothing special here being that the whole film took place in one location. There were your basic special make-up effects in this film, just a lot of blood and a cool ending with the killer getting killed by a table saw.

Overall, "Blood Relic" is just another one of your basic horror films released by MTI Home Video. It's nothing special, and might be worth renting if you can't find any other good horror films to rent. Some people will hate it others will like it, But to me it's was just another direct to video film that was just ok.
