I have some mixed feelings on this film, It has it's good and bad points, first off it reminded of the straight to video films I rented as a kid during the 80's, it had that feel like a film Fullmoon Pictures would of released. But like many of those picture you had more bad than good ones.

"One of Them" is about a cult that runs a school, and will not let anyone of their member leave the cult without being killed, and anyone that comes upon their school. Basically the film becomes two different stories one point of view from 5 kids who get picked up and are bought into the school and from a guy who's Niece used to go to the school and he's trying to get to the bottom of her disappearance/murder. Anyway that leads me to the script which is all over the place. It's not that the script was bad, but once I got into one part of the story it would go into another part of the story, which after a while I started to get confused about the characters and their lack of development within the script.

  However I did enjoy the story, although the films script was a bit wacky and turny, It was still a film that you can watch and get though. The acting is not half bad and the director managed to get himself though the script and get the story to come to a closing.

Overall, It's an alright little flick, some pretty good production value and some good use of editing and camera angles. It's a film that's worth renting if you can't find anything else to rent in the video store.
