"13 Seconds" is an Indie film shot on digital video, however like most low budget Indie films that are shot on digital this film has many things going for it. It won best horror film at The New York International Indie Film Festival as well as the Calgary International Horror Film Festival . The special effects are awesome and there is plenty of blood and gore to go around. The script is pretty good, and has some really great twists. The Acting is alright and the production value is pretty good. However as with most Indie horror films I do have some complaints. At times I felt the film was a bit slow, however I think this had more to do with the look of the film, I'm not a big fan of watching films shot on digital, I don't like that flat look, however as far as scares go the digital look makes the film that much more eerie and scary, I did jump a few times, the film is full of scares, and not cheesy stupid ones like you see in most films. Hellraiser is a film that comes to mind when describing the creatures in the film, however these creatures give pinhead and company a major run for their money. Over all a very scary movie, It's very dark, and you will jump and be scared watching this film. My Personal opinion is that this film should be remade and shot on film, it would be a great big budget feature. Check the official "13 Seconds" website (Link Above) for when and where you can see the film. -Horror Bob
